This last month was one for the record books, as I saw 9 states and logged roughly 5,000+ miles of windshield time. We went from Seattle –> Denver –> Kansas City –> Santa Fe –> Amarillo –> Salt Lake –> SEATTLE!! Note to self, find a new way to get your dog home for the holidays lol. Just kidding, it was worth it all and she is a pro in the car. Ever since we got Zoe, she’s just taken to being in the car and on the road. So she fits right in and loves to explore new places with us :).
In all honesty, yes road trips are long and can be a bit exhausting day in and day out but I still love them. Everyday on the road you see something new and that part invigorates me to keep going :).
Over these last weeks, I shot in Kansas City for a Fuji project, saw family and friends, did a mentor session, went on some awesome hikes in places I have never seen, took shoots in new cities, and saw some incredible places. Moab of course is one of those beautiful stops and a must see!
In many ways, Moab reminds me of structures out in Wadi Rum. The orange rust tones are stunning. This time of year, you may even be lucky enough to have snowfall or snow capped mountains in the distance as well.
I was pretty in love with the warm winter tones happening there. Hope you enjoy! Rust tones for the win! <3
What are all of your holiday plans?!! We are so excited to be spending it in Victoria, BC this year with my a parents. Better believe we will go to high tea and see Butchart Gardens, HOORAY for holiday parties and celebrating with all those we love!! <3
