WHOOAA the Oregon coast is probably my favorite coastline I have seen thus far in my life! It is full of jagged rock formations all along the coastline, much like Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach. When the tide is out, you start to see these incredible, colorful reflections that keep you mesmorized well after the sun dips below the horizon.
I visited the Oregon coast on my move to San Francisco and many times while living in Seattle, but my husband had yet to experience it. We have decided to make it a point this year to go camping and get outdoors more.
We loaded up the car with our pup, Zoe, and took off for the weekend. Our first stop was in Portland to hang with our good friend Benjamin Holtrop! We had the best time exploring the city and eating the BEST dinner at Dame , followed by the best brunch the next morning at Tasty & Alder. I strongly suggest you try both of them in Portland if you haven’t already <3. After a night in the city, we made our way out to Cannon Beach. The drive itself is only about an hour and a half, which is so amazing! We caught the foggy moody weather there, as well as the craziest cotton candy, blue and pink sunset I have ever seen. I am not sure who had more fun, us or Zoe . She ran for hours chasing birds on the beach ;), such a funny pup!
I paired this blush bomber with a monochromatic feel for our day of exploring, complete with my favorite Warby Parker sunglasses. I found them at their adorable Portland store! All round sunglasses forever please! They nailed it by adding a mixture of metal on the rim and a walnut color tortoise shell. I also found the shirt in Portland before leaving town. Anything white and black is always a win in my book, also the fabric will be perfect for those layering days in spring. Along the same black and white vibes are these Rag & Bone sneakers, I love how minimal and clean they look with just about any outfit and they don’t have a logo all over them. That always drives me crazy to see a ton of logos, because people are drawn to style not branding placed everywhere. The minute wording is added to an amazing crafted item, it becomes a no go for me. Hence, why I love this bag and all things Cuyana too. If you have not seen their bags yet, GO LOOK! You will fall in love with the quality and beauty of their Italian made bags <3. Nothing better than a bag that lasts and has a sleek timeless feel.

Feel free to email me if you are making any trips around the Pacific Northwest. I do a lot of photo sessions for couples and young families as well. I have another site separate from my commercial work for photo sessions :). I sat down with my good friends at Artifact Uprising this week to talk about my journey as a photographer, life, and what photography is to me. Check it out –> <3 <3
